The association Coryphée asbl from Brussels is organizing a workshop with Sidiki Camara in March. Even if I knew about this guy before, I was amazed by his curriculum posted on his website.
He is appearing on the recordings with Habib Koite, Bill Frisell (this one is surprising!), Rokia Traoré, Toumani Diabaté, Djélimady Tounkara, Super Rail Band, Boubacar Traoré, Mamady Keita & Sewa Kan, and others. Plus, he's been also performing with Ali Farka Toure, Oumou Sangare, Stephan Eicher, Graham Haynes,Steve Houben, and many others.
The guy must be a legend...
